Engineering firms and residential contractors around the country count on Cantsink’s helical pile systems to provide structural support in applications where the soil cannot support the new structures. We manufactured stabilization solutions for a new maintenance building at Barber Park in Greensboro, N.C., and also for a private residence in Savannah, Ga.

Our helical pile systems are utilized in new construction and remedial repair projects in a variety of applications, both commercial and residential.

For its special, limited exhibit, Imaginary Worlds, the Atlanta Botanical Garden needed to install a series of heavy, plant-laden figures that had to withstand the pressure of earth and water required for living growth yet retain their shapes without sagging or cracking.

Cantsink was brought in by Ray Engineering at the request of the apartment management group to stabilize the foundation of an apartment building near Johnson Ferry and Lower Roswell roads. A resident in one of its upper units had repeatedly contacted management about cracks in drywall that were not permanently corrected with drywall replacement.

The growing needs of a thriving congregation at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church prompted a 42,526 square foot expansion of the downtown Alpharetta campus, which began with groundbreaking ceremonies in November 2017.

The owners of Anytime Fitness in Cleveland, GA, were in a panic when they contacted Cantsink in February 2020. Relentless, heavy rains prompted flooding in the area, which caused a stream diversion culvert running next to the Anytime Fitness building to collapse.

Two retaining walls on the north side of Ashland Park, a multifamily apartment complex in Rome, GA, needed repair and stabilization. Earlier disrepair had been remediated on the upper wall with a gabion basket wall design with facing.

A new Auto Zone store planned for the Jacksonville, FL, area needed support for its freestanding store footprint. The builder, HJB Construction, asked Cantsink's Florida Manager to provide engineering support for an engineered helical pier plan.

The Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta, one of the city's signature destinations for tourists and residents alike, installed a dramatic signature feature in front of its entrance, a Water Wall.

Cantsink was contacted by Integrated Construction and Nobility to provide stability for a retaining wall in Clayton County International Park. The park, which was the site for the 1996 Olympic Beach Volleyball competition, is a popular area destination. The retaining wall is part of a new walkway system that will cross the park. Stability Engineering recommended the helical pier system from Cantsink to support the wall.

Plans for renovation of the university's iconic coliseum included adding rooms and exercise facilities underneath rebuilt fan seating for games. Named for the university's first business manager who oversaw much of the early campus construction in the 20th Century, this facility hosts more than 150 events per year.
