Case Study

Atlanta Randall Mill Pool Deck

Situation

The pool skimmer and pool deck at a residence on Randall Mill Road in north Atlanta needed stabilization.

Positioned in the back yard of a carefully landscaped yard, the pool was surrounded by a cabana, two retaining walls and a water slide. The Cantsink crew, hired by Guzman Constructional Surface, assessed the property to determine the least disruptive path to the pier installation site.

The crew selected a compact Bobcat MT55 for the work because it could maneuver under the water slide and between surrounding columns.

Scope of Work

The crew laid plywood across the yard and around the pool to protect the landscape and deck from construction machinery and elements.

Cantsink's skill and experience preserved the surroundings while inserting four new construction piles to support the pool where it was showing signs of instability.

All work was completed in a single day.

Anchor System

Four piles comprising 21 feet of support. Piles were installed to a load capacity of 1,500 PSI.

Results

The pool is permanently stabilized for the enjoyment of the homeowners and their guests.

The beauty of the landscape and the pool surroundings were undisturbed during the repairs.
